ANNE COMPTON is a poet, editor and critic. Her collection Processional won the Governor General's Award for Poetry and the Atlantic Poetry Prize, and, in 2003, her book Opening the Island won the Atlantic Poetry Prize. She has also received the Alden Nowlan Award for Excellence in the Literary Arts and a National Magazine Award. Her most recent book is Asking questions indoors and out.
