SUSAN GILLIS is the author of two books of poetry, including Volta (Signature Editions, 2002) which won the A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry. Originally from Halifax, Susan lived on Vancouver Island for many years before moving to Montreal, where she teaches literature and creative writing at John Abbott College. Her work has recently been anthologized in The Echoing Years and The New Canon.
