Library

Browsing BooksOur collection includes almost 40,000 titles – mostly English-language fiction and non-fiction, DVDs, CDs, magazines, and a wide variety of reference materials. Also, in the spring of 2015 we launched our Seed Library, a seed-sharing program for everyone in the Greater Montreal region.

You may browse our books, magazines and newspapers on site or become a member and check out materials to enjoy them elsewhere. By paying the membership fee, you also help support all our community services. We’re an independent charitable organization receiving only a small amount of government operating funding.

We have an online catalogue, and renewals can be done online as well. In addition to our general collection, we have special collections including our historical archives, the Scottish Collection, the Quebec Writers’ Federation collection and the Black Collection. Donations are always welcome.
