Poetry Project: Anne Cimon, February 16th, 2006

Thursday, February 16th, 2006 Anne Cimon Anne Cimon was born and has lived in Montreal most of her life. She has published four books of poetry. In the late seventies, she studied creative writing at Concordia University notably with international poet Irving Layton. He remarked of Anne's poetry: "She possesses the gift for the significant detail, the right word, and the most important element of poetry, surprise." Anne's most recent book reflects her French heritage. It is a bilingual edition published by Borealis Press in 2004 entitled An Angel Around the Corner/ Un ange autour du coin.
