Training Facilities

The Computer Classroom is an intimate space for activities that require access to computers and a personalized teaching or working environment. This second floor room has six workstations equipped with large flat screen monitors, 4 GB RAM, and 500 GB hard drive.  Each computer is installed with Windows Vista, Windows Office XP Professional software, and the Adobe software suite: PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator among other programs. All computers are connected to the internet with high speed ADSL. A separate instructor's workstation is fitted with a digital projector to enable the teacher's desktop to be displayed to the entire class.

Rental Fee: $50/hr + taxes
Dimensions: L 28 ft x W 17 ft (475 square feet)

The Computer Centre on the main floor is also available for working and learning activities, suited for larger groups. Twelve computer workstations are available, each outfitted with Intel Duo Core CPU, 3G memory computers that use Windows Vista Home Premium. High speed ADSL connects users to the Internet. Three scanners, one laser color printer, a web camera, headsets, and microphones are also available for use. For groups requiring a computer projector to show presentations or lessons, arrangements can be made. During regular library hours, the computing centre is reserved for public use, but is available for workshops and rentals after library hours: Mondays and Wednesdays after 8pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays after 5pm. Please enquire about week-end availability.
