Free Wireless Internet Access - Île Sans Fil Hotspot
The Atwater Library is an Île Sans Fil hotspot. This means that anyone with a wireless "G" or "B" enabled laptop (or any type of wireless "G" or "B" device) can access the Internet free of charge. Stop by the Computer Centre or visit www.ilesansfil.org for information about Île Sans Fil.
ALCC is doing its best to be a pro-active community member. Along these lines we endevour to support Île Sans Fil. Our building has one central wireless router (located in the cirulation desk) which provides the signal for the building itself. Additionaly we have a second wireless router in the Computer Centre that has an external antenna providing a signal to Cabot Park.
We have a third router, and a linux box set asside. With these two devices Île Sans Fil volunteers and ALCC staff can do test installs, or whatever else happens to technically challenge the geek within you.
