Amanda Jernigan’s Bio

AMANDA JERNIGAN is, in Jeffery Donaldson’s words, “a very fine poet already… I’m envious to say.” Jernigan is a poet, playwright, essayist, and editor. She has produced limited-edition pamphlets and broadsides under the imprint Daubers Press, and edited a selection of Richard Outram’s poetry. Her own work has appeared widely in Canadian and international periodicals, including the iconic Poetry (Chicago), and her first full collection, Groundwork (Biblioasis, 2011), showcases Jernigan’s classical-to-contemporary subject matter with promising eloquence.
