Jeffery Donaldson’s Bio

JEFFERY DONALDSON is the author of four books of poetry, including Once Out of Nature (McClelland and Stewart, 1991) and Waterglass (McGill-Queen’s, 1999), and the acclaimed Palilalia (McGill-Queen’s 2008), which was nominated for the Canadian Author’s Association Poetry Award. Donaldson has also contributed extensive criticism both as a writer and as an editor, including the 2004 volume of essays Frye and the Word:  Religious Contexts in the Writings of Northrop Frye. His most recent collection of poetry, Guesswork (Goose Lane, 2011), is witty, touching and humorous, a tour de force by a poet at the top of his game.
