Membership

We’re a “Library without borders”. We welcome everyone as members and users, regardless of municipal address. The membership fee ranges from $10 for three months up to a maximum of $35 for a full year. People aged 60+ pay only $20 for a full year.

An Atwater Library membership makes a terrific gift. To make arrangements for a membership for yourself, a relative or friend, contact Roxann Fournier-Hoyt at rfhoyt@atwaterlibrary.ca or 514-935-7344.

New and renewing members are asked to fill out a form that you can see and download by clicking here. Print copies of the membership form are available at the Library’s circulation desk.

With a membership, you can:

  • Borrow from the Library’s collection of 40,000 titles, including prize-winning books, 3,000 DVDs, eBooks, and audiobooks – almost all in English. See the online catalogue.
  • Get bestsellers with little or no waiting time.
  • Receive discounts on computer rentals ($2/hour instead of $4/hour).
  • Receive discounts on fees for computer courses and special events.
  • Support a charitable organization and the programs and services we provide to the community. Governments provide only 11% of our core operating budget and we have no endowment fund.
