We Thank Our Volunteers!

Volunteers are at the heart of the Atwater Library’s success story. During National Volunteer Week we fêted our volunteers with a reception to recognize their vital contributions.

More than 175 people are giving their talents and time to help run our organization, supplementing the work of nine full-time-equivalent paid staff. Volunteers do most of the front-line service work at the circulation desk, the Computer Centre help desk, and the Book Sale Room. Volunteer also raise funds, assist with planning and hosting events, work in our garden, repair furniture, and contribute to special projects. And, of course, the members of our Board of Directors are volunteers.

The George Hogg Family Foundation has funded our volunteer program for many years, and we are deeply grateful to them.
